Design auction and print templates with placeholders — Template Editor tool for admins.
What is this page?
Template Editor lets you design PDF/print layouts — especially auction letters and customer notices — using placeholders that fill from pledge data.
Route: Template Editor / canvas editor (/tools/canvas-editor).
Why you use this page
- Customize auction letter wording and layout per state/lawyer advice.
- Add company logo and fields (customer name, pledge number, dates).

- Canvas editor — drag fields, text boxes.
- Placeholders — merge fields from pledge/customer data.
- Template type auction — select when generating auction letters.
Step-by-step: edit auction template
Open Template Editor
From Settings or Tools menu → Template Editor.
Select auction template
Choose type auction (or duplicate existing).
Edit layout
Move text, add placeholders for name, pledge no., due date, amount.
Preview
Use preview with sample data if available.
Save template
Publish/save so pledge auction letter action uses new layout.
Step-by-step: generate letter from pledge
Open pledge
Generate with auction template
Pick saved template → print/PDF.
What happens after save?
- New prints use updated template.
- Old PDFs already given to customers are unchanged.
