Use Daily Register to check every transaction for a day — filters, columns, and export explained simply.

What is this page?

The Daily Register (day book) lists vouchers in date order so you can match physical cash and bank with the system.

Why you use this page

  • End-of-day: “Does cash in hand match the system?”
  • Find a voucher by reference, type, or party.
  • Export for accountant or auditor.

  • Daily Register — page heading.
  • Manage Columns — pick visible columns (date, voucher type, ref, amounts, etc.).
  • Filter — date range and other filters (“Filter Daily Register” popup).
  • Table — one row per transaction line.

Step-by-step: check today’s book

  1. Open Daily Register

    Sidebar → Daily Register.

  2. Set date filter

    Click Filter → choose today (or your working date) → apply.

  3. Scan voucher types

    Look for Receipt, Payment, Pledge, Expense types (labels on rows).

  4. Compare with physical cash

    Total cash in/out should match your drawer count (with shop’s rounding rules).

  5. Drill into source

    Note ref_id / voucher id → open original screen (Receipts, Payments, etc.) if you need detail.

Step-by-step: find one entry

  1. Filter by date and type

    Narrow date range; filter voucher type if available.

  2. Search in table

    Use browser find or scroll to customer name / amount.

  3. Export if needed

    Export Excel for sharing with owner.

What happens when you only view?

  • Viewing does not change data.
  • Amounts reflect posted vouchers only — drafts not saved will not appear.
